For the month of February, I received a total of $593.60 in cash distributions from a few REITs. Pretty good passive income. ^^
  • CapitaMall Trust: S$89.90
  • First REIT: S$193
  • Frasers CentrePoint Trust: S$99.20
  • CACHE: S$63.06
  • Suntec REIT: S$148.74
February has been a really boring month for me. No opportunity to accumulate more stocks as the market is rallying. Well, I guess I just have to keep on building up my investment fund, which currently stands at around S$9, 000. I am still considering whether to put my performance bonus into my emergency fund or investment fund.

Looking forward, I will be getting cash distribution from only AIMS AIMP in March. Gonna be a lean month. Hopefully, the market will pull back so that I can get some more telco stocks.

Peace Out,
Dividend Warrior

  2. Amazing, it's only February and you've already received close to a thousand from dividends & distributions...

I'm following in your footsteps somewhat, but I'm not even sure if I can get $1000 in dividends for the whole YEAR!

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

I have a feeling our chance to top up will be coming in March.

  8. Hi Anonymous,

I dun really have a fixed guideline.

I usually allocate half of my savings to investing (1k) and half to emergency fund (1k).

I keep doing that every month.

  9. DW

With now the telcos are rather on the high side, are you still positive about adding assuming price falls a bit or are you more comfortable with adding to SPH?

I am thinking to add to my position with either of the two.

  13. Hi DW
Nice blog and inspiring! I am trying to build up my portfolio for dividend income also. But problem is the stock market is having continuous rally since beginning 2012 and almost all dividend stocks are now on the high side now. Do you think can still buy any dividend stock?

  14. Sorry for double post. I just realized I commented not on your recent article.

I have around 12K in SRS account. Recently just invested 4 lots of Suntec, so still left few K more.

As this SRS account is for long term, I prefer steady dividend stock that currently still at attractive price. Any advice?

  20. 2012 is not so nice to buy Telco stocks.every good stocks is in rally mode, Actually i am tempted to buy even if it is on high side, but I think that it is not permanent, I'll just wait after the ex-dividend date to have lower price and higher yield.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

  21. Ya, I also think prices are excessively high now not backed up much solid fundamentals. Prices of almost all stocks good or bad are just up due to market rally since Jan. All threading on thin water. How can prices go one way up and up if the world economy does not improve at same pace of >10% within few months?

  25. Should wait or not wait? Since Jan till now 2 mths + already prices up and up leh. Getting more and more expensive for genuine investors like us. So many quick-profit traders just keep chasing after prices even tho they go up and up.
