For the month of June, I received a total of S$1, 202.10 in cash distributions from PLife REIT, AIMS AMP and First REIT.
- PLife REIT: S$105.60
- AIMS AMP: S$997.50
- First REIT: S$99
The recent market correction has punished yield stocks pretty hard. My paper gain dropped significantly from S$75k to the current $52k in just a month. You might be wondering, "Hey DW, are you able to sleep at night? Aren't u worried?" Quite the contrary. I cannot be happier! Hahahaha.........
So why am I not worried?
Firstly, my average monthly dividends is maintained above S$1k. I feel that a consistent cash flow helps to cushion market volatility. Besides, capital gain has never been my investing focus. If it was, I would have called myself "Capital Gain Warrior". Don't get me wrong. Capital gain is nice to have, but not my focus.
Secondly, the recent market weakness allow me to grow my portfolio further. I divested KGreen Trust and added SATS, MapleTree Industrial Trust and Neratel to my portfolio. SPH has also confirmed that the long-awaited and much-rumored SPH REIT is coming very soon. I am looking forward to the special dividends. ^^
My advice shall be Keep Calm and Carry On Collecting Dividend$. ^^
