Transformers Optimus Prime and BumbleBee Silver Coins

This post is kinda late. In fact, it is super late, by 2 years. >___<"

As most of my readers know, I have a few gold coins in my collection. They are the Chinese Gold Panda (one ounce), Australian Kangaroo (half ounce) and Canadian MapleLeaf (half ounce). I love them all. ^^

I decided to start my silver coin collection. I have been a huge fan of Transformers ever since I was a kid in the 80s. So when Singapore Mint offered Transformers silver coins in October 2011, I just could not resist. In the end, I ordered the Optimus Prime and BumbleBee silver coins.

Here are the shiny shiny pics. Enjoy! ^^

Hi, how much did you pay for both?

Hi Anonymous,

I think I paid less than $100 for them. I bought them 2 years ago, so my memory is rather hazy.

Hi Anonymous,

Yes. Of course I will consider the Silver Eagle and Austrian Philharmonic.

I do want the Silver Mapleleaf too. :)

Wonderful! Following it closely as I am also trying to build up my dividend chest ^_^.

Current portfolio ~$60K, so far about 28% is in MCT. Small holdings of MIT and the recent SPH and OUE IPOs.

Also hold Kepland and Capitaland but thinking shd I sell those and move to REITS...Capitaland has terrible dividends.

Hi Poor dad,

Thanks for the support. Welcome to the dividend investing club! ^^

Just a suggestion, MCT gearing is rather high. Maybe u will like to diversify to other REITs with lower gearing. Suntec is pretty good. It is a mix of office and retail. Higher yield too.

MIT and sph REIT are fine.

FYI, temasek just sold a huge stake in Keppel REIT.....

Hi anonymous,

I keep my coins in capsules. Then, I keep the capsules in a safe deposit box, together with my mom's jewelry.

Yup, the silver coins will change colour as silver exacts with the surrounding air.

Gold is rather inert, so it will stay the same forever. :) however, gold is vulnerable to scratches.
