My First Cheque from Nuffnang!

Yesterday, I received a cheque from Nuffnang. Even though the amount is small, I still feel a sense of satisfaction because I had put in quite a lot of effort and time into my blog. After eight months of blogging (from Nov 2010 to Jun 2011), I earned S$51.06 as shown in the cheque. In other words, I earned about S$6.40 per month from my blog. I hope to eventually achieve S$10 per month.

Next, I will like to thank Nuffnang for their efficiency. Their staff actually called me to confirm my name and address before sending the cheque. Wow! I did not expect that.

Finally, I will like to thank all my readers for the support and encouragement. Thank you all for visiting my blog. ^^

Peace Out,
Dividend Warrior

Hi Dividends Warrior,

How was the amount determined by? Visits on blog or clicks on ads?

Hi Foodie,

Most of my earnings came from the "metered campaigns". In other words, by the number of unique visitors that read my blog. U can visit the Nuffnang website for the details.

Hello DW,

Good for you! I got Nuffang in May 2011, but only in July and August did I get the metered campaigns. So far average $5 per month :)

Hope to follow in your footsteps. It's cool if I can get $5 per month consistently. I treat it as someone giving a treat to Starbucks once a month!

Hi Dividends Warrior,

Congrats on your Nuffnang payout. I am still waiting for my first Nuffnang payout since I only started my website 2 months ago :p

By the way, did you receive my email on exchanging links? Would appreciate if you could add my link to your blog roll and I will add yours too.

Thanks!

Yo Foodie,

Blogspot has served me well. No major hiccups so far. I do not have experience of having other platforms, so I dunno the difference.

I got all of my earnings from "Metered Campaigns". It is based on the number of unique visitors my blog has. I have a total of about 12k visitors over 8 months.

I dun really earn from "Clicks" though bcos people dun click the ads.

Hi

ok, let me help u click on the ads every now and then when i visit ur site. I am in the progress of getting nuffnang ads.

Hi Clavin,

"Metered Campaign" is assigned by Nuffnang. The advertisers will pay for a number of visitors to a blog over a specific time period. A simple example, company X will pay for 200 visitors for a day on a blog over a week. Once that quota is hit, the ad will stop appearing. I usually get metered campaigns that appear in the day, over a week.

For more details, you can refer to Nuffnang website.

Yo Foodie,

That is very kind of you. I will do the same to your blog too. ^^

But dun click more than once, otherwise Nuffnang will consider as fraud.

Just to clarify things for the other readers, I am running this blog bcos of my interest in dividend investing, you do not need to click on the ads if you dun wan to.

Hi Dividends Warrior

Yes, I know what you mean. No worries. =)
Anyway i was wondering what project 360 was about. Its about skincare!
wonder why did you not choose any related ads to financial? Or is it the type of ads done by nuffnang.

Hi Foodie,

Nuffnang will search for ads to put on my blog. I dun need to do anything. So it is convenient. Of course, I prefer finance/investment related ads, but I dun mind other ads. Advertiser usually go for blogs with decent visitor traffic.

I am fine as long as no alcohol, tobacco or other "frisky" ads. U nber know, teenagers or even children might come across my blog. Anyway, I believe Nuffnang does not promote such ads, so no worries.

Hello DW,

I got a question. I see you have 3 kinds of ad sizes from Nuffang.

If a single metered campaign is running in all 3 ad spaces, do you get paid for 1 campaign or for 3 ad spaces (1 time or 3 times)?

I have both Google and Nuffnang (only the LS sapce). Was thinking of giving more Nuffang more ad spaces; but not sure the metered payment is per campaign or per ad space...

Hope you can share your experience. Thanks!

Hi SMOL,

All the metered campaigns I got only appear in 1 ad space. So, I only get paid for that 1 campaign. It usually last a week. These type of ads depends on number of unique visitors. From my experience, these ads usually appear on the leader board at the top.

As for the normal "click-on-the-ads" campaigns, they will appear whenever and wherever Nuffnang decides. These type of ads depend on the visitors' clicking.

I suggest you give Nuffnang the leader board at the top and the skyscraper board on the right. Give the bottom slot to Google.

Hi Dividend Warrior

I am new to Nuffnang. How many views do you need before you hit the 50 dollars mark?

Thank you
